PROJECT 1 OPENING DAY CELEBRATION
Crossed Lines is the first in a series of multi-sited public art exhibitions in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Five international, national and local artists will create multifaceted installations, urban interventions and community-oriented projects, exploring the lines that unite and divide a city, and what it means to belong.

WIZARDING WEEKENDS AT JOHN BALL ZOO
Calling all wizards and muggles alike: you are officially invited to Wizarding Weekends at John Ball Zoo! Join us for two enchanting weekends, and see the Zoo magically transformed for this family-friendly event. There will be interactive exhibits, activities, crafts, games, unique entertainment, and specialty foods. Put on your robes, grab your wand, and visit the fantastic creatures of the muggle world. Costumes encouraged!
From 9am-6pm on Sunday, September 8 and Sunday, September 15.

Their new show “Beer Hunting Season” is packed with hilarious and outrageously funny material about hunting, beer, political ads and baby factories, in other words, America.

Help ensure no one faces cancer or grief alone by registering for the 2019 West Side Walk benefiting Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids!

Last year Gilda’s Club touched more than 10,000 lives through our emotional health support program for children, adults, families and friends on any kind of cancer journey or those grieving a death due to any cause. We offered over 1,100+ Adult Cancer and Grief Support Groups, 635 youth and family programs and served more than 300 evening meals, all at no cost to our members. This wouldn’t be possible without the help of our entire community!

PEDAL PROJECT 1
Explore the immersive artworks on view as part of Project 1 from the unique perspective of your bike seat. Pedal Project 1 is a guided bike tour featuring stops at each site location (Downtown, MLK Park, and Tanglefoot) as well as an extended visit to the African American Art & Music Festival.
